Today is picture day for Nutpea at school.
I remember all the excitement of picture day – Everyone got a new comb, each hair needed to be in place, and invariably I would look like a complete goon when the pictures came back. Did anyone ever look great in a school picture back in the day?
In modern times, I have found that Nutpea looks beautiful in her pictures. The photo company (the same one that was used when I was a kid) even sends a free ID-style card for handy reference in case of a child abduction, complete with that year's photo.
I don't know whether that is handy, or just terribly sad.

I find the little ID cards quite handy although I have never had to use them, but also incredibly sad.
